Waterways Yacht Charters
The Waterways Authority, charged with providing temporary and permanent facilities for visiting boats in 2000, plans to transform the present ill-equipped harbor into a user-friendly, well-organized, professional port of call. Waterways has committed to providing mooring space for at least 80 visiting super charter yachts in 2000, mostly stern-in to the shore as they do in the Mediterranean, plus additional accommodation for 500 smaller visiting vessels by way of swing moorings, and berths for 10 cruise ships that will become “floating hotels”.There will be a significant announcement in the next few months about where the new permanent boating facility, which should put Sydney on the super yacht map alongside Barcelona and Atlanta, will be located.
