What exactly is an Electrician?

An  electrician  is a man or a woman who primarily works with the electrical wiring found in buildings and equipment. They are considered distinct from linesmen, who have a similar job, but instead work on power mains or power lines of an electrical utility company while electricians primarily work in or around buildings and equipment. Their trade is quite highly regulated in many countries due to the hazards associated with electricity, though this is not the case in all jurisdictions. Their services are quite valuable and their unions in many developed countries are quite well known.
