These undermount sinks have gained a lot of popularity because of their modern and trendy look. If you decide to install such sink in your kitchen, they will tend increase the value of your kitchen.

I recently found out that these undermount sinks and faucets are so popular that they are manufactured by all of the major brands like Elkay, Moen, Kohler, American Standard and Franke. They all have these products in a variety of styles, colors and price ranges.

I have found that undermount sinks require clips and other mechanical types of fastening devices to attach it to the countertop. Heavier kitchen sinks like these require a well designed mounting system for an undermount installation.

I see that these undermount sinks fit seamlessly on countertops so its easier to clean and much more durable. I just need to consider that this only works well with concrete or solid surface countertops.

I understand that these undermount sinks are typically installed under solid surface counter tops. These sinks are generally like the regular sinks in terms of their structure but what distinguishes them are their positioning in the kitchen platform.

I find that the only difference between stone and acrylic counter tops is the way you fasten the clips that hold the sink in place. These undermount sinks can have faucets mounted that can be mounted on a ledge that sits inside the sink edge, or can be made separately from fixtures that are set into the counter.

I know that these undermount sinks, in general, require that the countertop be of a harder material, such as granite, due to the edges that are exposed. I see that usually these undermount sinks are typically installed under solid surface counter tops.

I have seen that these undermount sinks are another rimless option that feature sink bowls fused to the underside of the counter. This installation method should not be used with laminate counters but works well with solid surfacing, stone, or stainless steel surfaces.
