Hot Tub Prices

Hot tub prices are really hot these days. I just stopped off at a local store that sells amongst other things, hot tubs, on my way back home. Sheesh! The really nice ones were way more expensive than I had previously thought. The sales girl was really too helpful. She kept trying to upsell me on other stuff to go along with the spa I liked. At this point, I was starting to have fun with her, making her think I was some kind of high roller who could afford all the stuff she was trying to sell me. Heck, they even make an eight person spa that you can put in the back yard under a gazeebo. Like I’m going to be able to buy that thing!
Did you ever hear about that comedian – I forget his name – he knows where telephone salesmen are having a convention, then he calls them up late at night in their hotel room and tries to sell them stuff.
That reminds me of a car sales man I encountered one time. Heck, he would not even let me leave to sue the bathroom until I gave him my keys and a check for $40 to run my credit report.
I’ve been known to do that a time or two, string along a salesman just for the sheer fun of it I mean. It is entertaining to act like a big dog with a lot of money. People treat you with more respect too.
Yep, that is right I think. Sales people rely on this point: that most people won’t even hang up the phone on a pushy phone salesman because most people think that that action would be extremely impolite.
Can you believe how high pressure these young sales people are taught how to be? I think they are playing off your emotion to be polite, so they know you are not just going to storm out of the store.
Sure, I second that notion because they are sure as hell going to go up some more before they even think about coming back down, that is a big ten four! What a world we live in.
Okay, I will put in my two cents on this, if it is even worth two cents! If you think the prices for these things are high now, then just a wait a little longer. Eeks!
Yea, no doubt the freakin economy and the likes of Mr. Obama have got prices all screwed up. You might want to wait a while for prices to come back down before you decide to buy.
