Son Making Changes To His Room

6 March 2010

Posted by Ebony,

Our son has recently graduated from Power Ranger bed sets to choosing luxury bedding for himself.  He wants camouflage bedding and I suppose it’s all right. It’s not what I would have chosen, but then again, it’s not my room now is it? He’s still got his single bed and we’re going to get him some solid olive green curtains to coordinate with the camouflage. I personally don’t think he’ll want this kind of set forever. At least, I hope not.  I’ll give him one thing, he has good taste in sheets. He picked out some 400 count sheets that are quite lovely.

  1. Camouflage bedding may not be for everyone, but there is a growing market for it. Kids have so much energy and it helps them to use it up if they can include activity sports into their play. Kids have been playing war games ever since Adam was a lad so it’s not unreasonable to believe that they will continue to do so as they follow the adventures of their hero’s.

  2. More and more stores seem to offering camouflage bedding for sale today. I must confess I’ve never been too keen on wartime themes or war of any kind so, I don’t think I’d want to give in to my son and decorate his room in this way.

  3. It’s amazing how imaginative kids can be when they’re growing up. My son is really excited by all things military and has converted his room to look like a tank. He’s added all sorts of extra pieces to his bed to make it look like a tank and when he’s inside, on his bed, he can pretend to be leading his army in his tank.

  4. My son’s had camouflage bedding for over two years now. I’ve had to buy extras sets because he gets all upset when I tell him his bedding needs to be washed. He doesn’t want his room disturbed as he looks upon it not as a bedroom but as a tactical and strategic base for commanding his army.

  5. Camouflage bedding certainly makes a bedroom look different. My son’s a teenager now and has his room looking like a battleground. The camouflage bedding helps to hide the clutter, but he assures me his room looks just like it should be when compared to scenes from the movies.

  6. My son’s into all things military at the moment. So, he’s pestered me to decorate his bedroom in camouflage style bedding. Actually, I’m quite surprised how good his room looks. He’s covered his walls with loads of military posters, flags, banners and camouflage hangers. He’s even got a small military one-man tent in the corner of his room as his command post.

  7. We bought my son’s camouflage bedding from Amazon. They have a good range and you can always return it if it doesn’t work out. We bought the In Style home collection set and really like it.

  8. Camouflage bedding is great for a boys room. If he’s into army things or it’s a phase he’s going through it’s a great way of letting them experience something different. Actually the camouflage bedding I ended up buying is a great success. It looks really good with it’s green, brown, tan and black splodges and is a great attention talking point for visitors.
