Don’t Worry, Be Happy with Ventless Gas Logs

Unvented logs do not produce a roaring fire effect that is present with vented logs.  Ventless logs operate with the chimney flue closed so that all the heat generated stays right in your home and not lost out the chimney.  This is an important energy-efficient consideration.  They resemble an actual fire, with the cement logs stacked on top of the heating element.  They come equipped with a thermostat so that you can control how warm you want the room to be.  You’ll want to make sure that you keep air circulating throughout the room with ventless logs because they add moisture to the air which can cause the formation of mildew.  Ventless gas logs can be a welcome and energy-efficient addition to your home.  Even with some restrictions, they don’t require you to install any type of venting system in your fireplace or through a wall.  This is the primary advantage of these logs.  Whatever you decide to do, you will get a little more heat at a cost that just might fit well into your budget!
