Mean Chili Con Carne

When it comes to spicy food we absolutely love it in our home. My husband can make a mean chili con carne and it has become a real favorite in our house. We have been growing our own chili plants for several years now, and my husband swears that it is the availability of the fresh chili which has made all the difference to his recipe. Even my daughter, who has only just turned seven years old has developed a taste for the chili, although she needs about a gallon of milk to wash it down when we have chili for dinner. Chili con carne is such a versatile meal, as is goes just as well with baked potatoes as it does with rice.
