Avoiding a Bad Investment

My brother just called and he wants me to go in on an Investment Property Loan with him. I know he is responsible, yet I am very leery of signing my name on any loan as I am very protective of my credit. He says this is a surefire investment that I am guaranteed to make money on, but I want to do some checking on my own. I think he is mad that I am doing this because it implies that I do not trust him. Nothing could be further from the truth. I just can’t afford a bad investment right now.
