I came across a neat idea a while ago. If you’re stuck for extra storage space around your house, then have a look at using risers to convert your bed into a Tall Bed Frames style of bed. These risers are pretty inexpensive and can just be inserted into the bed frame legs, and instantly wour bed is quite elevated, and this gives you tons of extra space under the bed for storage. Don’t think the term “tall bed frames” is only frames specifically for tall people, it can also mean tall as in height from the floor. So there!

While steel storage containers as houses aren’t exactly that new of a concept nowadays, building a whole dormitory complex out of these recycled shipping containers is another thing. Pioneered by the Dutch for a housing complex for students in Amsterdam, the Project Keetwonen is really something groundbreaking.Every unit here is made with 45’ steel (not wood or resin), heavy-weight, industrial shipping containers, which are all well insulated, has complete amenities (including kitchen, bathroom, and ventilation), and with high speed internet connection, making it all worth the costs. They even have platform for a balcony!Sure, the rates may be different from other student dormitories in the area, but having almost a nice, cozy home while going to the university is really a great way to get through college life. Now, wouldn’t you wish your college dorm was even remotely close to those gorgeously designed and planned student housing complex?

One can set their 5 quart slow cooker on low and let a roast cook all day long. When you get home from work you have a piping hot, tasty, healthy dinner. However slow cookers can do much more than just cook a roast. They do a fantastic job at heating cheese dip or salsa for the big game. Macaroni and Cheese is truly amazing when cooked in a slow cooker. My personal favorite is putting pulled pork barbecue in a slow cooker and letting it slowly cook in my favorite barbecue sauce. Also, since its wintertime, I would be demised if I didn’t mention chili!

I have a corner computer desk in an area of my apartment that I didn’t quite know what to do with. That was until I went to the store a day after moving in and found that they sell corner computer desks. I found a really terrific desk that fit exactly into a corner area in my living room. I use this as a mini office for myself now since it also has an extension on top of the desk. It is unobtrusive though, and really saved me the space of having to put a desk in another area of my apartment. The corner computer desks are incredibly innovative and useful.
