The amount of people getting Senior Approved Medical Alarms is increasing in number. Numerous people are seeing that these alarms can be incredibly valuable. Families want to protect their loved ones and this is a very good way to do that. Each day no one knows what the day will bring; however by having the alarms seniors seem to feel better about the day. My dad truly likes having his alarm. He is very active; however he still has trouble doing certain things at times. I know that if he is ever in a bind then he has the tools that he needs to get help.

I had occasion today to board a BC Ferry to take my wife & I on a ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay, near Vancouver, to a quaint little town called Langdale, on BC’s Sunshine Coast.

A delightful 40min ride in an outstanding part of Canada, clear blue sky, dead calm, everything was perfect, almost.

You see there were numerous passengers who were aboard that had obvious disabilities, and were in electric wheelchairs, and a couple of elderly gentlemen riding mobility scooters.

I’m all for disabled people getting out and enjoying our beautiful country as much as I do, but please folks, just because you’re in a mobility scooter, you don’t own the place. We were witness to the rudest chap barging into the lineup for the cafeteria, snarling at passengers lining up to “let me through, get outta the way” type commands, and being generally very obnoxious.

We (able bodied) folk have rights to, & you don’t have the right to make our lives unpleasent because you’re upset with your lot in life.

Our friends were looking at different options in over 55 retirement communities and they wanted us to look too. We spent a Saturday traveling around to the communities located in the part of Arizona we lived in. I was extremely impressed with all they had to offer. We had a choice of home styles to choose from, we were also given a full tour of the golf course, the grounds, the spa, and health club. Living here would feel like being on vacation everyday! Having our friends move there too would be a terrific bonus. Where do we sign the contract?

Since the economy has been struggling, and personal expenses such as gas and groceries keep rising, people are looking to cut costs however they can. One of the best ways to clear up a little room on your monthly budget is to find affordable health care insurance. Of course, the real question is, how does someone find affordable health care insurance? The best way to do so is to get a policy through your employment. Some jobs offer wonderful health insurance, with very low premiums. If that’s not a possibility, you’ll want to compare providers as much as possible, so that you can find the best benefits at the lowest price.
