Achieving PMP Is Not the End of the Learning Process
24 January 2011
As is the case with many certification processes, one you have earned a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), the education does not stop. So called Professional Development Units (PDUs) are required on an ongoing basis to maintain your PMP certification. PMI PDU are important for certified project managers, because they keep them up to date on changes in the profession and help them to continue to deepen their knowledge and sharpen their skills. Also, the PMP designation is helpful in career development; many large companies require mid-level and above project managers to hold this certification.
