Years of school, years of residency, and no job. Sigh. Now I have to dig around looking for surgey job openings.
I might have to consider changing my specialty. You wouldn’t think that Cardiac Surgeon Jobs would be so scarce, but it seemslike they are.

I have been looking for a career change. A little further investigation revealed that I need to be suitably qualified to work in this position. The courses can be completed in as little as 6 to 18 months. I am looking further into this because it sounds like a great opportunity in a fast growing industry. 

There are many different courses for gaining the qualifications to work as a medical coder. One of the best ways to go is to select a course that also assists you with a medical coding internship. This is a great way to gain experience that can lead to meeting new contacts and opening additional doors. There is plenty of information online to help you learn more about the options. I have a friend working in this area and she has never looked back once she got a foot in the door.
